nothing out of the ordinary has happened today. however, it is right to not complain.

i finally purchased a north face daypack today for school usage. i am quite excited- now everyday mundane studying will be fun like halloween and thanksgiving- all year long. guess what color i got? no more beat-up, "free gift" tote bag from lancome!

i took dad to coldstone creamery while we were at the stupid suburbia outlet mall infested with teeny boppers. i explained to dad that they "stir fry" ice cream with lots of toppings on a cold piece of stone. stir fries seem to always connect with my people. we had the cake batter ice cream with almonds and chocolate chips. it was my second time at coldstone. i must admit, i dont love it; it is not quite as good as marble slab, what i grew up with. weird though, coldstone seems to be the new talk in town around chicago- at least around old town by my starbucks with their new store. sadly, people at work all seem to hate that place. afterall, why go for shi shi-wannabe ice cream on your barista wage when you can have a frappucino of choice for *free*! a steal in value AND calorie count. nothing tastes better than art crafted by your own syrupy hands. ;)
