boohoo...
so apparently barb lies and says that she truly does love me and that is why she is obsessively reading my blog every hour and finds that i only discuss dsl suckage. here, i will blog today to please her.
this means that i will complain-- hopefully complain about funny things that amuse her. :)
as many of us experienced, last night was truly sad. it was sad for me and i was NOT even watching the game cuz i was stuck at starbucks, working and dealing with weirdos. i suppose the only plus part was that jamie (not from the bachelorette, just the jamie that i work with) and i pseudo bonded. we were trying to explain to carlos about the baseball craze (because of the cubs not having gone to the world series in 95 yrs and also that baseball is an american pasttime). carlos is from spain and his passion is soccer, or futbol. yes, so i was like, blah blah, i started to get into baseball cuz my ex played baseball. (might i add, he turned down a potential contract with the cubs to go to the u of c. whats wrong with him?) anywho, then jamie, who thinks he is so cool and all that, said that yeah i used to play baseball too. whatever :p
so anywho, jamie would run to fleet feet next door or find the security guards or just bother the customers with WIFI to check the score every 15 minutes. we were all so happy until-- of course, the marlins scored 8 in one inning. jamie and i basically started screaming. i was like, what do you mean the cubs are trailing, werent they winning like 5 minutes ago? its crazy and the customers kept asking what the score is too. hee hee. oh, here is another funny story about jamie-- so we all know about his much more aged girlfriend, right? yes, so this older woman came in yesterday, trying to buy beans. i am sure jamie was just being polite and acting like a responsible starbucks barista helping her out. after she picked out her beans, she also bought a cup of coffee and he told me to not charge her for the coffee. shes like, oh, thank you so much! hee hee, i just became very amused that he seems to get along so well with elderly women. hee hee. i am so immature. :) hahahahaha.
tonight will be a stupid evening, but hopefully it will actually turn out fine. tonight the pledge class of the fraternity im pledgeing is doing a dinner for the active brothers at D&B on clark. booo. typically one would think that this is a fun and drink event, but the fact that i am "required" to be there makes me not wanna be there, you know? i could be working and making money and flirting tonight. or i could be having fun with my friends that i am not "required" to spend time with and watch the cubs! UGH! instead, we are serving our active brothers dinner while we dont even get to eat anything! and whats the dealio with "dress professionally" to D&B?
oh yeah, and my dsl still doesnt work.
