1200 and some miles later...
good morning my friends!! happy sunny day in el houston, texas!!!
did i say sunny? yes, apparently all the clothes that i brought back that i plan to wear after doing laundry at ma and pop's will be inappropriate because it is god damn 71 degress in houston. you mean you could step outside not wearing gloves and still use your hands at will? who knew?
my drive was fun and sleepy at various parts of the middle of no where. I-57 was as boring as.. whatever. i kept looking for the road signs of CATFISH FARMS that southsideandy's friend luis kept telling me about at basia's fabu holiday gathering. i couldnt find them! but yeah, i-57 was so boring i became so sleepy and i was just like, WTF? i am not even a third way there and i am already tired and bored with this? freakin' a! then after i passed whatever silly town an hr after champagne, it was much better.
'bout 7 hrs after i left i was in memphis, TN. then in jackson, MS around 9:15pm. then i decided to keep on driving to see how far i could get. then i got to baton rouge, LA just before 11:30pm. at the time i was just like, dude, i could be in houston in like 3-4 hrs and there would be no traffic! sadly, my stupid biological rhythms was fighting against me: i started to get quite drowsy to the point that gummy worms, doritos, all new white meat chicken nuggets from McD's, and water werent helping much. my car started drifting btwn left and right lanes. AHH! must stop and rest. of course, when you *need* to find a rest area, you cant find them. after much struggling, got to the rest area near lafayette and took a nappy poo for like 6 and half hrs. yawn!
started driving again. woohoo. felt like zombie. must get to houston. :p now, to show you big texas is, so soon after you cross the TX state line from LA, you would see this road sign: beaumont 23 el paso 857. i dont know why, but i just started laughing-- you'd be driving for the entire day and you'd still be in the state of tx. 857 miles earlier i was somewhere in down state IL. hee hee, i am in my room on my bed now. i think i will just take the entire day off and sleep and do nothing.

this morning on this one houston radio station, they were talking about why women are glazing and oogle over bob guiney the most recent "bachelor." i guess he is either having or recent had an appearance at this houston dance club, roxy, or something. the show hosts were like, well, he's not really hot or anything. compared to the previous three, alex, aaron, andrew (they call him andy down here), hes like nothing! the hosts were like, i bet he smells like cookies or hershey's kisses thats why women love him. (hmm, i dunno, i only know one cookie bob and he makes damn good cookies) so these women called in-- i guess a common consensus is that this bob guiney is an "average guy that's obtainable." women go crazy for him because he's just like regular dude you can meet anywhere and he is obtainable. i dont know much about aaron and alex, but andrew is a millionaire, has a vineyard, and is fairly good looking! they said that most women get intimidated by that because... well, you dont find someone like that everyday. i guess it is true? so when bob guiney the average guy not so hot shows up with good personality, women go ga ga? i think its only because he was on national television-- like hes a pseudo celebrity. hmm, i dont know, all of these bachelors and bachelor candidates, i still love jamie the best.
