in route...

got some nice ecards today. made me laugh. ha! i think it is funny nowadays that the interactive, animated ecards are quite effort consuming on the recipient's part. of the several cards i received in the past week- in order to view the message or enjoy the effect of animation, you must click or do the required exercises as stated on the card. boy, am i lazy or what!? sigh.... hahahahaha.

this morning ran some errands with parents. went to the county tax assessor/collector's office and got license plates changed, things updated; then went to the car dealer, spent too much money on the plate bracket and had them installed my new plates.

my brother was sick (stupid!) so i bought some drugs for him. i dont even know why i try, its not like he will take them unless he becomes paralyzed by the flu like symptoms anyway! well, whatever, just as long as he feels that hes ok. in the afternoon i went to the houston galleria, hoping to find a nice dress. went to ann taylor but their selections were poor. the black dress i was eyeing-- fit fine and looked nice but my breathe wasnt completely taken away by how i looked. was ok! the plum/burgundy one i saw online- that store didnt have in my size. blah! then i met up with olivia (as she and her family were doing some post-christmas shopping at the galleria as well) after they were done shopping. poor girl, then i dragged her around with me in search of nice, heavily marked down dresses. went to saks. went to foleys. went to few other stores. no luck. oh well. poor girl. then we had dinn at the cheesecake factory. i think i no longer like this place since college; it was fine tonight cuz i realized i hadnt been in a long time. basia, you must try the vanilla stoli java jolt next time you are near that place! it has stoli vanil, bailys, choco liqueur and whatever i cant remember. pretty yummy!

the weather in el houston is quite crazy. few days ago it was up in the 70s, then high 60s, then down, then up again, and today was actually somewhat windy and wintry. it was actually cold!!!!! later on when we met up with carol and her sister at starbucks (apparently its not just at my starbucks you can't find a place to sit!), we sipped our drinks al fresco in the patio section. we were freezing our butts off. grrrrr. i think i am somewhat unsatisfied with this 24-hr joint. it is busy but i feel that it is not doing its best to handle the rush. for example, they could totally steam their milk in larger pitchers (enough to fill 2 venti cups and then some) instead of the smaller pitchers; the guy could call out their drinks clearly, instead of having me read their poorly marked cups and pass them to people around me. i always order my drinks extra hot (unless im in a hurry and must chug) but my mocha was so not extra hot... i think it was barely 140 degrees (normal freshly steamed). have i turned into one of those partners that order pain in the ass drinks???? i still remember olivia's tall nonfat upside down caramel on both sides extra foamy caramel macchiato. ha!

oy! im sleepy. still need to run more errands in the morning before i take the road! behave yalls' selves, i will see yall soon! yee haw!
