happy new year!!

happy new year, peeps. i hope that everyone had an exciting new year's eve and fun, relaxing new year's day, and prosperous year to come! yay!!!

it is nice being back in chicago, in my own little, dirty apartyment. i am still doing nothing, but i just feel so much relaxed doing nothing rather stressed out like when i was home. i was so stressed and bored with doing nothing in houston, my skin broke out!!!!! ahhhh, nasty pimples on new year's day(s).

i got back in town the morning of nye. yawn! it was such crazy confusion until like 9pm or so. my friend sara and i kept calling each other back and forth to figure out our plans for the evening. unfortunately many people are hanging out with their significant others (as always) or have change of mind on things. ugh!!! it was terrible. so we thought maybe we will just make dinner and then go to cliff's house for his whatever gathering. it turns out that cliff was having no gathering (because his friends backed out or had other plans) so he and clara were like, why dont you guys come have dinn with us (them two, cliff's brother and his girlfriend) at luciano's? we were like, uh... well...

you know, its no fun being couples-surrounded on new years eve when you are just with your friend. ugh! much more confusion and dialing; clara cancelled their dinner at 8pm and made another one for 6 people at 10:30pm. yes, so we had dinner at 10:30 and rang in the new year at the restaurant. i've been to that restaurant once before in college with another friend; eh, its an ok place. definitely no need to go back; it wasnt bad but just not outstanding. whatever, sara and i had an ok time and it was nice finally figuring out what to do. ugh! every year we complain about the ho hum nye plan, but the following year is still ho hum; also no fun when your friends actively ditch you. ugh!

my new year's day was really lazy. was horizontal for most of the day; i think tiredness from driving, sitting up straight for 15+ hours finally caught up with me. zzzzz. then sue and i went up to mortgage grove to see our friend ellie. we then went to jack's for some diner quality ice cream. mmm. yum.

this morning i finally went to the gym for the first time in 1+ month. ugh!! my midsection is HUGE!!! jiggly arms and spongy legs. nastiness. then i rewarded myself with too much fun at bath and body works and barnes and noble. ahhhhh!!!
