sushi again???

today was another ho hum day at school. first it took me forever to get to school (all i have to do is take ashland south) because some stupid traffic light was malfunctioning so everyone was treating it like a stop sign. oh my god!!! ugh!!! classes we had today werent terribly exciting; our lunch meeting for ICHP only made me realize more about how i dont know what to do with life when i grow up... :( ahhh!!!!

so today i caught up with some friends from kappa psi, the pharm phrat that im supposedly in. so there was a ski trip this past weekend to galena, IL. well, as most of you know, i did not choose to go on the skip trip. in hind sight after hearing about what happened, i am glad that i didnt go. i saw j-rome and just naturally asked, sup, how was the ski trip this weekend? then he just had this *look* on his face... so, our fraternity rented two ski houses at some resort in galena and like 7,8 cars were leaving at different times on friday afternoon to get there. OMG, i am not sure if its the weather or something, some people actually didnt make it there. i think everyone was okay and no one was injured or anything. apparently, one car (minivan) flipped over and around 3 times; one car's engine died like the radiator broke; the other car ran into something else. or whatever, oh my gosh, so these 3 cars didnt make it and these people couldnt get picked up and their cars had to be towed. naturally, to their dismay, they didnt make it to skiing. oh my gosh!!!! wahh!!! not to say that if i had gone, something would've happened to me. i think i would've been expected to drive if i had gone-- what if it was my car that flipped over? what if it was my car that had died? what if it was my car that had run into a ditch or a tree or something? what if i never made it back to chicago? i know that i really wanna go skiing some time, (now that i have a nice warm jacket) but did the combination of me not really wanting to go skiing this particular weekend and having to work and deal with weird people at starbucks save my life??? ugh!

remember the weird photo (not petey) guy i was telling yall about from this past weekend at starbucks. yes anywho. so now he has new projects. so weird! so hes interested in knowing how far he can go from a starbucks and still receive the wifi signal. !?!?!?!?!?!????!!! yes, and hes actually experimenting. apparently, with the pipers alley hotspot, you could go as far as that bar across the street from walgreens, then you lose the signal. at the starbucks 2 blocks away on germania and clark, you can dine next door at the thai restaurant. you can still get a signal with the brick wall in between. and also, if you park your car in front of germania starbucks after its closed, you can still get a signal. !?!?!?

before such conclusion was published,
guy: yeah, i wanna know if you can park your car and set up your computer in front of a starbucks after it's closed and still receive signal? you know, i wonder if they turn off the hotspot too when the store is closed!
christinie: i dont know... but why would you ever need the internet in your car parked in front of a starbucks after it has closed!?
guy: (silence).........
guy: hah hah, well, you never know. what if i were on a date and need to check movie times or something...
christine: (eh? huh?) yeah, i guess you just never know...

today i met the new guy that our managers hired. hmmm, i am not sure if i am fond of his presence. need more time to decide. he has a sense of humor but at times i feel that he's almost trying to be humorous too frequently. he did, however, try to tell me a coffee joke:
christian: do you know why americano is called americano?
tingaroo: no, not really. why is it called an americano?
christian: because its diluted (deluded).
tingaroo: oh, hahahahahaha.
i guess its a dorky joke in a funny way. its funny....

andy and gina came to visit. yay!!! there was also a dr phil sighting today. very exciting. his hair is long again. sigh... hes cute. i think his brother was also there today with their other friend with a broken leg. boys. :p i think phil is much cuter than his brother... probably because phil has dark dark brown hair. laura and i were admiring his flirtatious beauty. so after work, laura convinced me to get sushi with her *again* at kamehachi on wells. dont be fooled by the times listed on metromix, this kamehachi has a lounge-like upstairs that's open until like 3am! laura has gone sushi-ing so regularly here now shes recognized as one of the "regulars." hahahha, i guess just like we recog our regular at starbucks. last time we went, laura's good acquaintance was working and introduced us to the store manager. this time, aurora wasnt working but the manager was there. when we walked in, hes like, just getting off work? tee hee. anywho, he seems like a pretty asian boy in his late late 20s or early 30s. laura and i decided that it'd be so nice to personally know someone that owns a sushi restaurant and we'd be able to have sushi cheaply or for free whenever we wish! mmm... yum! anywho, i guess being regulars has its perks! when we got our check, we got a discount, termed as "BARISTA" ..... 11.00 . that was the cost of the dragon roll. what a pleasant surprised. maybe we will get half off next time we go back? who knows!

woooo! bachelorette tomorrow night!
