oh my god, i cant believe how you guys were totally making fun of me on my comment log while i was slaving away all day today! thanks for the fun reads! ahahahah!
as you can also read on hot mama calantha's xanga, we were randomly inspired to get our eyebrows theaded on friday after school. hahahaha. so calammy was telling us about how his metro brother took a fun lunch break this other day to get his eyebrows (reason being- his brows are so sparse he *must* get them done so that he'd look like he has eyebrows) threaded on devon. and calammy was extremely upset that he didnt wait for her to get out of school. hahahaa! so being the crazy weirdo that i am, i was like, dude, lets go today! so after physio, merly, calammy, and i hopped in my dirty little car and went to devon. hahaha. merly and her mom have been going to this indian salon called bebya's so thats where she took us again. it was very fast and didnt hurt at all (as im used to fun pluckings and all....). then after all of us got nicely groomed eyebrows, we shuffled our way to crazy snow and ate like super pigs at this cafe. mmm, samosas... mmm, indian sweets that we cant name... burp burp! then of course it took me forever to get home with the stupid rush hr drivers. bah!!!
funny, then i proceeded to pass out in sleep zone for the next 15 hrs. wow! i must've been drugged!
saturday i baked a spinach pie and prepared insalata caprese for calammy's housewarming party at her new lofty studio condo. the bad thing was that i was picking up someone's shift at starbucks, so i had to bring all the goodies with me to work. ahhh!!! work was busy... though i still felt like i was an extra with no purpose. so i was just picking up people's mess after them... it was fine though since i didnt really have to deal too much with customers except having to pseudo calm this stupid girl down who stupidly spilled her drink. i dont understand why people think that i like to clean around the cafe when i dont even clean my own apartment!! it was a good shift though since i was doing a lot of everything, helping everyone out on the espresso bar, cold beverages, pastry case, dishes, cleaning and my head manager sweet timmy tim tim was there too so i think he was secretly impressed. this could be good when i decide to promote myself to shift supervisor when i can start telling jamie what to do. ha!
the housewarming party was nice. met a lot of calantha's other friends. she does have friends. ha! it turned out to be more like a dinner party than anything. there was SO much food. oh my gosh, i wish my stomach is stretchable... i wish i could've eaten more. everything was soooo good. she made two diff types of lasagna, brownie, various dips. other people brought more brownies and cookies. yum yum!
today i spent my entire day at starbucks. yes, literally. bah! anand (stupid) always asks me to cover his shifts. oh, and always feels the need to ask me about organic chemistry. ????? hello, just because i know my organic chemistry cuz i took it many too many times doesnt mean that i *like* to talk about organic chemistry. anywho, so he claimed that his school work load was becoming too overwhelming and needed some help. i am too nice! and too poor!! so, in addition to my scheduled 3:30-10:30 shift, i came in at 11am to cover his 10-6:30 shift. bah! so today i worked from 11am-9:45pm. i guess its not that much compared to many of you overtimers... but still.
hahaha. so when i clocked in, some weird smelly man was in the cafe, doing his sunday preaching. wtf!??? some customer came up to us and was like, hey can we ask him to leave? yeah, so we had to kick this guy out. wtf was he doing ! then later on in the evening (what felt like 12 hrs later) some other guy came in and was like selling gold chains and watches. hello, no solicitation! we had to kick out again! and we were like, sir, you have to leave now and he just would not leave! this other customer had to help us escort him out! i swear, people! so i have decided that our starbucks has started to look like a ZOO on sundays again with all the students coming back. hmmm, ever been to ikea in schaumberg on sundays? yeah, its just like that!
wooo, congratulations to me!! i gave someone my shift on superbowl sunday! whos inviting me over now!
