ahhh, more fun times at starbucks today. sigh... before i even walked into the store around 9am this morning, the line was ALREADY out the door! what, its only saturday! and its not spring yet!!! oh my, then the line continued to be out of the door until i left, around 3pm. what!? why??? why is everyone ALWAYS at my starbucks!??? ahh!!!! we were so busy today i think my left arm wanted to go on strike. i was telling erin that i felt like my left arm is trembling and it hurts!!!! its like im on drugs... not that i do drugs or do i know what it really feels like to be on various recreational drugs... look, its still shaking now!!!!! ahhh!!
yesterday afternoon calammy came to my starbucks after school to "study" and wait for me and her friends so that we could go to fleet feet to look at shoes. hmmm, poor little girl. i think she was freaked out by the scary chess players that also never left my starbucks. one may think, aww, how cute, there are people that come to play chess at your cafe? hmmm, only these people are not very pleasant. they tend to be some mid to old aged men that are scary and loud. they are also rude and somewhat disrespectful to other customers. the worst thing is-- they "gamble." ok, now, its ok to gamble at the privacy of your home or casinos or at those special gambling programs/games, but its "illegal" at starbucks. all of us pretty much know that these people "gamble" while they just pretend that the money that we may see is for "chess instructional fees." WHATEVER!!! we have been wanting to kick them out (before we lose our license to operate!) for a while but we've been lacking solid evidence. well, i've seen this guy trying hand $$ to another guy once, but i think guy1 saw me walking by and quickly withdrew his hand. so, technically, there was "no" transaction occured. fun, jamie accidentally saw them gambling for real yesterday, and since they really piss us off, we called up the hot line and had the "lead person" come in. the cop came to the back and told us how we really need to kick them out before our license is lost. i think he and jamie had some serious discussion and i am not sure what action(s) we are taking, but i just hope that i will not have to see them again!!!!
later, anu and wilson came to join me and calammy after i got off work. we then went next door to fleet feet. so yes, apparently im certain about running the shamrock shuffle. hmmm, yes, i "think so." so anywho, its pretty interesting. at fleet feet, they measure your size and look at the shape of your feet. they then ask you to try on their "test shoes" (very soft, very flexible) and ask you to jog several yards, the shoe expert observes the movement/position of your feet and arch while you run (the biomechanical motion). then based on what the shoe expert observed, he/she brings you several pairs of running shoes that will correct the over/under protonation of your feet so that you run more efficiently and safely. then you run a bit after each pair to see how they fit/correct your feet rolling and such. from your thoughts and feel, he/she brings you a few more to try. this goes on and on until you find the almost perfect pair that corrects any pronating/rolling/sliding of your feet with the flexibility of choice!!! the entire experience was very exiciting, as i have never really had anyone "almost" custom picking shoes for me. i never knew there is so much to running shoe fitting!! however, it only makes sense! everyone's feet are extremely different and style of running/walking is different too! its like, buying the perfect jeans! or bras! or contact lenses!! WHO KNEW!! :) read about it here! so, i finally purchased a pair new running shoes from fleet feet after 10 hours and 100 pairs of shoes and 1000 dollars. AHHHHH!! i better become a persistent runner and/or exerciser! boo! stupid jamie was like, go christine; heh heh, you got new kickers!!!!?? stupid.

oh! so more funnies! i was microwaving a plate of food earlier. then i thought i smelled something weirdly funny, but i couldnt figure out what the smell was or where it came from. when i opened the microwave, i realized, holy shnikes, the rim of my plate had come off! the plate broke in half!!! i was afraid that there would be remnants of plate particles in my foods i had to throw them away!!! sniff sniff :(
i guess i should go shower now before i wait for clams to call me about going out for anu's birthday. hmmm.....
