long time...
i guess it is time to update my novella, per laz's request!
yay!! the shamrock shuffle has come and gone! and i did it! (without passing out before, during, or after the race!) the setup of the staggered starts were still very inefficient, probably mainly due the larger number of participants and friends. THERE WERE SOOO MANY PEOPLE! it's like a zoo, or ikea! i had a hard time starting because everyone was running so close to each other and i was having to run in a serpentine manner to get around!! and for some reason the slow pokes or walkers liked to stay in the middle and be in the way?? im like, if you are gonna *walk* starting so early, do the 5k witness walk instead!
my timing was, of course, ass slow. i was still happy that i finished! after the race, i managed to find sharon's friend karen and karen's friends (who also did the race) by the buckingham fountatin. we hung out for a while as we waited for sharon and her friend emily to join us for the "after-party." that's right, each participant over 21 had a free drink ticket to a cup of michelob. i have never had michelob until that day. PUKEY! so bland, so boring. i will take amstel light for a light beer any day. then, it started storming while i chugged down cups (whoooooo, SPRING BREAK 2004!!!!!!!!!! yeahh.. lame :( ) of michelob while sharon snapped my pix! hee hee. man, i have never been able to feel the beer so quickly (2 cups?) as i have a good tolerance. man, i was not quite buzzed yet, but i could definitely feel the alcohol in the system? probably from all the excess sweat and exercise? hmm. yeah, walking in the rain didnt really help. still, i was way glad that the forecasted storming was delayed until *after* we have finished the race! we then went to giordano's for lunch. burp. rest of the afternoon was spent downtown with sharon and emily walking around downtown and listening to sharon complain about boys. eh! good times! :)

OMG! sharon just came over and we (or me, mostly) drank the entire bottle of wine while she vented on her outcome of speed dating! ahhh!!!

i just learned this weekend that dimples (on your face when you smile) are actually birth defect?? dude! apparently the muscles in that area depress as the they contract! who knew! next time when someone says how cute their smiles or dimples are, you tell them, DID YOU KNOW THAT THOSE ARE BIRTH DEFECTS!??? hmm, too bad i dont have dimples. i DO, however, like my smiles.
