sore thighs....
this past weekend had been quite a busy one, and right now my thighs and upper arms are sore as hell. good feeling though, i felt i had worked as hard as my college crew days again!
friday was the tastefully simple party that i hosted. polishbasia's friend vicky was our "consultant"/salesperson. hee hee. it was fun. i totally freaked out that morning about how many people are coming. when i had the christmas party last year, a lot of people were around, but you could move around, obtain drinks, or whatever. this time, however, i was worried because we all had to kind of stay in the kitchen listening to vicky as she makes her presentation. the space is VERY tight! ahhh!!! when she came to setup her stuff, it was a game in itself trying to find where to place everything!!!!
oy! of course, i freaked out when everyone got here as i saw how little space everyone had. of course #2, EVERYONE (ok, almost everyone) WAS FREAKIN' LATE!!!! some had good reasons such as condo shopping, boarding the wrong train cuz you were feeling wooooozy. some reasons are even better: purse shopping, running on asian time. eh! i dont understand why someone wouldn't just tell me that wouldnt leave work UNTIl 7pm if they regularly leave work at/after 7pm!? seriously, people.
oh well, the party turned out just fine. i had fun. i hope everyone else did too. burrrrp. everything was so delicious.

saturday was a tough day. i worked all day at starbucks, then after i got home, had some pseudo dinner with the tastefully simple leftovers, i went to the oakdale apt to start priming the livingroom walls for our painting project on saturday. woof! the whole thing was harder than i had expected. first of all, the taping was a PAIN in the ass and super boring. bleh! the priming also took longer than i had hoped too. boo!!!! actually, the color of the primer was already so dark i think it made our actual painting on sunday easier!
on sunday, after another busy morning at starbucks, lisa and polishbasia came over and we kicked off the painting project! woohoo!! hahahah, so when we got there, we were like, ok, we will start with green that we will use for the section just under the ceiling above the trim on the wall.
-hmmm, where is the green?
-maybe it's still in my car, let me go check!
-shit, it's not in the car.
-it's not anywhere in the apt. did i forget to buy it?
-AHHHHH, after 5 gallons of paint, i forgot to buy the green!
so lisa and i ran back to menards to buy it, with along with other things we will use to strip the paint off the back of my front door. hahaha, the the painting begins. hard work, but fun. must have patience. the brown, called coco puff, seriouslly looked like hershey's chocolate syrup in the paint tray AND on the wall. we wanted to eat it. mmmmm... mochalicious! we finished the living room with coat 1. i think i will go back tomorrow to put a second coat of brown then we should be okay! good times! i think this room will be named creme de menthe mocha, my fav drink!
