crunchy leafies

hello all. time for another update. life is still not very exciting, so i will write about others...

but first of all, i gotta say-- i really like fall. well, not because of the nasty things that happened to me wks ago that traumatized our little christinie, but i just love the vibrant colors (trees, leaves...), the anticipation for the holidays and time with family/friends, the thought to cuddle up with my PB shearling blankie with my imaginary bear and clams in front of an imaginary fire place... all are such happy and good thoughts. awww...

there are certain senses associated with this season. every time i step outside, it revitalizes me. the sound of walking on crunchy leaves or them flying in your face when you walk, the smell of burning fire place and fall foliage, the colors of nature, the exciting fall merchandise at window displays... i love it.

anywho, moving on with regular life...

starbucks has rolled out phase I of its winter promotions and holiday specials! (just as an aside, did you know that you now can send special e-cards via the starbucks website?) wow! be sure to stop by your favorite starbucks and enjoy a warming cup of gingerbread latte, pumpkin spice latte, eggnog latte, or caramel apple cider. there are also plenty of gifts for any of your coffee or tea loving friends/family. all so pretty! :)

on saturday helped andy and gina move into the condo. cute. they picked some very bright colors for the walls. yay!!! and weird-- also saw my TA from first quarter organic chemistry from the u of c there. OOOOODDDD!! i knew that he went to NU (cuz he told us) but i didnt know that he was associated with the NU friends in andy and barb's group!??? small world!

that evening was the candle party at barbarine's cousin/aunt's polish house. so much polishness! its scary that the more i learn about "barb's people," the more we realize how similar the pols and chinese/taiwanese peeps are! anywho, i have heard about these candle parties from kelleanie, but i haven't been to one. it's basically like other tupperware parties that i have been-- it CAN be fun-- and at the end you are presented with fun things to purchase. i guess the partylite candles are formulated a bit differently and are of higher quality, non-carcinogenic type. i guess i will have to burn them to find out. i bought too much: some for gifts, and some for me. yay!!!

last night, went to the gym. i thought i needed to cuz my cold was making me stuffy and miserable. im contemplating if i should run the thanksgiving tradition turkey trot. i wanted to work that morning before el bro comes in to make some time and a half, but it turns out that i wasn't needed at sbx. i ran almost 5 miles last night and felt pretty good. how funny, i saw my pseudo friend swimming while i was there. HA!

blah, i gotta go home, do some laundry. maybe some grocery shopping if time permits. hopefully allen roo and arazo wont break our pseudo sushi date.
