oy! after a hot and humid day of summer yesterday, el houston totally got cold today, in preparation for christmas! woohoo! some cold air is coming down from the LA purhcase area- and dallas region has enough snow that kiddies are able to build snow children? hahahaha! i guess starting tomorrow for 36 hours we shall have freezing temperatures and expecting some snow tomorrow and probably on christmas eve.

you think this is exciting? well, too bad that people in el houston dont know how to drive in snow! what, 5 snow flakes on the ground? oh no, cars in ditches! ;)

speak of driving-- mom left me the car to drive around today. sheesh, i totally forgot that texans do not signal when they turn or change lanes. sigh...

there has been so much commercial and residential development around my old hood. I-10 is finally under construction to be widened to accomondate the tremendous surges of money and stores. i almost got lost from haphazard turning today. boo.

i was running around all afternoon in scavenger hunt to find comforters for mom and dad. since mom is allergic to ten thousand things, bro and i decided that it's probably best to buy down alternative. i personally prefer down alternative as i think down beddings smell funny and the feathers poke me. however, some ex pseudo friend told me that his down is of some superior quality from eddie bauer and dont "smell." they are so expensive though... i looked around and didnt see much i liked that i thought was "worth" the price at BBB and LNT. i think i might just go ahead and order from overstock.com . hmmm... makes my brain and face hurt. :(

i got to see carol briefly tonight. she had to work all day at MD Anderson. i met up with her after her workout. to take a break from dear ol' starbucks, we went to this place called zebros cafe (not sure if i got the spelling right...). it's quite cute. their espresso is quite mild though, even with a double. hmmm. carol and i caught up a bit-- its quite nice to see her after such a long time since may. its always hard to hang out right around the holidays as most people have family functions to attend to.
