S A D

S A D??? did i say i am sad? no no, i have rediagnosed (annually) myself with mild seasonal affective disorder. now that darkness is long and day is short: i feel tired and exhausted all the time from having done nothing; i always want to sleep; i dont get enough sleep; i am less inclined to go out or socialize (but it may have to do with extremes of people that invite me-- 1) school kids that still live the lives of college kids trying so hard to turn 21 at bars with boring cheapie bottom shelf drinks-- and 2) man-crazy women that need to hook up tonight, marry tomorrow, and deliver on monday). ARRGG!! the only social events attract me in this cold weather are cozy quiet dinners with friends, lounging, and sleeping!

sigh. and everything annoys me! that may have to do with my raging hormones; it is even scary when i can see myself in angry action while being moody others-- and i can't even control it! hopefully my body will get used to these new meds i am taking soon or i will have to give myself proper pharmaceutical care!! shocking!

******
i really dont think life has been too terribly exiting recently:
this wknd wendy from school and i ran the step up for the kids stairclimb race on sunday at the aon center. duuuude, it was harder than i expected, even though i had experience training on stairs in college. i started out by running up at a very *very* leisure pace, but then by the 5th or 6th floor, i was like, oh my god, cant run anymore, i am tired! we pretty much went at the same pace with each other going up rest of the way. UGH!! so tiring! luckily, after a while when our thighs and gluts have pretty much gave out, it wasnt so painful anymore!

here are some random facts about the aon center:
-second tallest bldg in chicago, just after the sears tower.
-82 floors (we ran up 81).
-tallest bldg in US without any major antenna and attachments.
-tallest bldg to ever change its name (used to be the amoco oil bldg or "big stan").

what else... with this winter snow/ice roadside blocks, it is surprising that there are SOOO many extra empty parking spots near my apt. too bad that they usually require the ability of a monster truck to climb over 5 ft of ice to get into the spot.

everyone is buying houses and/or condos. i feel left out.

instead i have to buy other pseudo big ticket items with the money i dont have: a good road bike or hybrid commuter bike (whatever i can afford monetarily that doesnt make me race like a turtle in the triathlon); a PDA for stupid drug info and counseling programs; still want a headboard for my bed; still need my KA mixer; still want a new, bigger tv; still need to replace my stolen digital camera; still wanna buy personal itmes.

maybe i will pay my bills first :( and only give self to the first two shopping sprees i listed.

what should i do for spring break!??
