another triahtlon!

this was another triathlon wknd, after a few crazy hours of unsuccessful sofa delivery this wk, as some of you read and understood/misunderstood recently. i swear, people say that the wk or wknd before school starts, one is supposed to either majorly relax or party, instead of going through mental and physical stresses that i have imposed onto myself! BLAH!

the traithlon i did today with barbsbie and wendy was the pleasant prairie triathlon . the one we did earlier this summer in july was the danskin triathlon where it's an all chicks event. it was supporting breast cancer research and encouraging to cancer survivors, average girls, and girl atheletes! this one, the pleasant prairie, is really just a tri. it's a co-ed event and a lot less crowded than the danskin, as the population was a lot less. this one felt more "sporty" whereas for danskin many people were there just to have a good time with friends and family. :)

we thought that since it's co-ed, it may be really competitive and people will swim, bike, or run over you if need be! UNTRUE! i felt like there was so much space for everyone, so most people just minded their own business! besides, the weather was perfect. before our wave started, we were shivering on shore, as it was breezy and we were still sleepy and cold. as we stepped in the water, it was warm!!!

my swim was still slow ass and i still can't get myself to swim continuously w/o freaking out. gotta work on that!! bah. as some of you may or may not know, i injured my lower back slightly about a month ago, probably from over-exercising and poor posture. as i was biking away-- man i thought i was going to CRY!!! my lower back was in *PAIN* and the pain was radiating out to my left hamstring! WWAAAAHHHH!! as for the run- mile 1 was still dreadful, and since i seriously have not exercised for real for like nearly 1 month, the run was hard. actually, the whole thing was hard. i haven't run since last week; have not biked for like 1 month, and have not swam since end of july at petey's b-day party.

im just glad that i survived. i think this tri concludes my summer pseudo trainings for the tri. i am happy too, cuz i really would like my back to recover! still gotta keep up the running though!

now, with school starting tomorrow (GAH!), i should go get my stuff ready and read our stupid law cases for tomorrow! sheesh, homework already before school??
