back to chicago...

hmmm, yes, am back to chicago. thanks for everyone's warm notes while i was away. right...

today, few friends from school and i went to great america. earlier this summer some of us went to cedar point in ohio, but sou was angry that she couldnt make it that time, so we decided that we would make another amusement park fieldtrip to great america to entertain her.

as some of you may also know, i have been having nagging lower back pain for over a month! i suspect a herniated disc (gah!!!) or some sorta spinal mal-alignment from improper biking and swimming techniques? it has progressed to the point that i sometimes wake up in pain at night and it is dreadful to sneeze. maybe i will die. bah, anywho, so i was actually dreading to go after i flew in town last night, since i was never a passionate repeated amusement parker!

well, i have to say-- after cedar point-- these rides at great america are "almost" like baby rides! don't get me wront- i still screamed my lungs out and whined all the way until after the particular ride, but it was just for the sake of it. besides, what *ELSE* do you do on roller coaster rides besides screaming!? AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! i still hated the GIANT DROP. it's one where the seats rise up ever so slowly, you experience what seems to be eternity while hearing the cables clicking, then you drop. bahhh, my first experience of it as the "dungeon drop" at the houston astro world was terrible. this time, i still hated it!!! the other rides were alright. the superman ride was a bit different- you are attached to the moving parts by the back. in other words, when you are moving, you "feel" like superman flying. HA! as we flew, we saw many lost items on the grass-- sunglasses, broken cell phones, money, shoes, unused condom, hair clips... quite interesting assortment!

haha, it was fun. i got more unwanted tan lines- after i almost evened out my lines while in houston. i hope i wont wake up with too many more pain spots and ailments in the morning!

back to work tomorrow! ugh. luckily, starting out pseudo easy covering a shift at the BUSIEST sbx in the entire chicago area at 670 n. michigan. more luckily, shopping and happy hr drinking to come afterwards. woooo!
