interesting christmas eve...

yes, another day of "fun" in houston. first, i just wanted to thank for all the wonderful participation and popularity in reading my blog. i truly feel loved at this holiday season. woohoo!!

right...

so anywho, since mom still had to work today, for lunch dad, bro, and i went to chinatown for dim sum. mom actually got to join us later so that was nice. afterwards, we decided to stop by "snow star ice" for some tapioca drinks and pick up some veggies at "welcome" for our hot pot dinner tonight. since the shopping center was super busy and lot fairly full, dad just illegally parked at the end of the row... probably thinking that we will be in only for a short moment!!

unfortunately, i did not even realize that we weren't in a real spot, otherwise i would've yelled at someone early, as when *I* am around, parking is *always* possible. you just need to be quick with the eyeballs and agressive with the hands and feet! too bad dad really isn't that way!!

well, after we came out of the groc store, we're like, um, dude, where is our car!?? shit, i guess it's TOWED!!!!!!

so we called some phone number listed on the towing notice sign, which was a stupid voicemail that listed some other numbers for us to call. one of such numbers was one to the police, which told us the address of the towing property to go to. i think bro called another number and they told us that someone will be at the pound ~6pm to do the paperworks or some shit. mind you, this was ~3:30pm!!!!

arrrggg, the address we received was about another 3000 numbers west of where we were. well, we've got nothing better to do so we just started walking. i suppose 3000 numbers may not be all that much, but houston is huge!!! i think we walked for about 1.5 hrs. luckily, the weather was nice. (let's see, 3000 numbers in chicago will be like from columbus to belmont.)

well, we got to the place, sketchy as predicted, and it was tucked behind a public storage place. of course, no one was working. there was actually another 2 people (chinese) waiting to retrieve their car, and it appeared that their car was towed from exactly where we were as well!!!!

bro talked to the person that i guess will show up to do the paperworks to release the cars-- she kept saying "20 minutes," "20 mintes," or whatever shit. i was like, so is it really 20 minutes or 6pm!!!??? with the other people there-- it was somewhat nice in that we just bitched the towing people and whoever called and reported our illegal parkings out from the parking lot. seriously!!!

finally, nearly 6pm, some extra extra large woman showed up. she took her sweet ass time to enter her office, turned on the computer or some shit, and released our cars. freakin' $172!!!! CASH.

ugggghhh!! what a christmas eve. bah!! i was quite angry with dad... i was just like, why did you park there if you knew that it wasnt a real spot! and why didnt you just have one of us stay in the car!!!! gah!! well, at least it's all good now. such a pain in the ass!!!
