my first teeth dream...
hello from texas! the land of... lots of space? and george bush? and cattle and their tasty meats. oooh, and apparently men. it appears that somehow "almost" every guy that i meet were all once upon a time associated with the state of texas. hmmmm...
anywho, moving on to the real story of the day. has anyone ever had dreams of teeth falling out? or known of anyone having such recurrent dreams? well, i have always heard that this is a very common dream-- teeth falling out. my college roommate clara used to have dreams of her teeth falling out all the time (and may still do???). however, i have never had one until today!it WAS scary!!! during one of my afternoon naps at home today: in the dream i think i was just lounging around with my bro doing nothing. for some reason i looked into the mirror and noticed that some (like 2, 3?) of my teeth became very small and very mis-aligned in that some were positioned behind other teeth! there were gaps btwn my teeth too!
even though my teeth aren't great or perfectly healthy, barbsbie and others have always told me that i have a "million dollar" smile... whatever that means... so i have always been proud of them. therefore, having crooked teeth freaked me out. next thing i knew in the dream, my teeth started falling out!! i had to catch all the fallen teeth with my hands and they just kept coming out- it's like i had hundreds of teeth! some were whole; some were fragments; some were bloody!! omg, it didn't stop!!
i had my bro bring me a bowl of clean water so we could rinse the fallen teeth to put in a bag to bring to emergency room. we told dad to get the car ready to take me to the hospital (as my mouth was bleeding non-stop), but for some reason he was gone for a very long time!!! after a while, i just told my bro to call the ambulance.
THEN! i woke up. luckily, all my teeth were still intact, in my mouth. AAAAHHHHHHHH

In the Greek culture, when you dream about loose, rotten, or missing teeth, it indicates that a family member or close friend is very sick or even near death. According to the Chinese, there is a saying that your teeth will fall out if your are telling lies. It has also been said that if you dream of your teeth falling out, then it symbolizes money. This is based on the old tooth fairy story. If you lose a tooth and leave it under the pillow, a tooth fairy would bring you money.
