back to school, again??
yes, another long wknd has coming to an end... again. boooo... i really really seriously can't wait for this semester to come to a happy ending!!
anywho, this wknd i went with the phraternity to wisconsin dells, christmas mountain, for our ski trip. we rented a "house" and a "condo" for the ~45 people that went. the logcabin style house is actually much nicer than i expected! its ceiling is elevated and the living room is all open so it seems very spacious. debbie and i got there early enough such that we were able to snatch beds instead of sleeping on the floor. woohoo!
friday night the P1s were in charge of making us pasta dinner. again, it was much tastier than i expected. judging from what others that went on the ski trip said before, they had said that the pasta dinners have always been bad and cheapie. hahaha, i guess i was expecting the worst. afterwards, some of us snuck back to the house to enjoy the hot tub before boys and their stinky feet could get in. sadly, after moments of relaxation, everyone was on their way back to the house to begin our "ritual."
basically, this ritual is one of those emotional sharing moments where everyone goes around and share what the phraternity has brought for them and/or how one's life has been different. ugh ugh ugh!!!! it was totally like those high school church camps-- except worse!!! ugh ugh ugh!! i just gave some generic, BS, and thanksfully- SHORT response. man, some of these P3s went crazy worshiping our own class and shit. i felt bad for the other people. i suppose the idea behind this "ritual" is very nice; unfortunately, i am just not one to open up emotionally all that easily!! let alone in front of a large grp of acquaintances that i for the most part dont care for all that much!! yes, what i would divulge would be drastically different if i were sitting in front of my best friends, or close friends, or a boy that i am into. seriously, i'd rather share and listen to someone whole-heartedly and have others do the same instead of wasting my time.
at the lesson, i finally learned how to make Ss-- what i need to ski down the steeper slopes. we practiced without poles on the bunny slope-- and i think i felt much more confident!!! deb and i tackled the "hee haw" slope twice more-- still scary for me but i think i felt more comfortable! skiing is fun!!! now i think i want my own skis!! :p
i got back early-- late sat night/early sun morning. then sunday i watched tv all day. the bears game was awesome... and sad! man, what a runaway game with smith!!! the whole throwing thing with rex just didnt work too well this time around, since he never played that much with the team all season!! oh well, i guess "there is always next year..." GREAT, action-packed game though!
bah, time to get ready for school again... :(
