birthday festivities continue, part 3...

after a fun afternoon of dining too much, we finally parted with stace as she had other fancy plans with mother and friends.

calabanga, wendy, and i returned to my apt and passed out briefly from the over-filling of our tummies. then we got ready to go to carnivale for dinner. birthday dinner? yay! sharon and joann were able to join us too! awww, thanks lovers. :)

this place was very colorful: inside and outside. the food was nuevo latino. very good. the main dining room was huge (two levels). unfortunately, we just sat at the darker, more intimate bar area as we didn't wanna wait 1.5 hrs for the dining room. boo. i thought the place was very appropriate for both mid-sized groups of friends or family from visiting out of town and cute for dates. awww. their beverages were a bit weak for my taste, but still tasty. mmmm, mojitos.

calantha, me, and wendy.

me, sharon, and jo.

wendy and i both ordered the guatemalan chicken, calantha got some other tasty chicken, and others got the skirt steak. all soooo fabulous. the chicken was very tender and well-flavored. i definitely recommend this place!!

guatemalan chicken!

skirt steak!

then after dinner, debbie and jessica joined us for drinking at the victor hotel. since it was a thursday, the place was not crowded at all. the main room when you first walk in is very big with the bar on one side and seating (which were mostly reserved for bottle service already) on the opposite. however, there wasn't really a dance floor, so it was confusing for one to decide what to do with self with all that space. in the back, there were some semi-private rooms of tables and couches. many of the tables were reserved as well. whatever!! so we just found another table w/o such a sign and sat down. it was fun. their martinis were quite good. mmm...

deb and jessica shared some of the mis-haps from their jamaica trip and how much money they actually spent (w/o the luxury?). wow, i think in a way i was very glad that i didn't go. all that money i think i should buy myself an LV bag, new shoes, and a much needed pda! then wendy and jessica learned that they both worked at vicky's before, and probably even worked together w/o knowing! hahahah. then they went on and on about bras-- who knew working at vicky's could change one's life so much!?? HAHAHAH!
