birthday festivities...

ahhh, yes. by now i am another year older. 25. what a big number.

i had finally returned to chicago on wednesday night (12/28) from houston to prepare for my b-day wknd. however, i have never been a big fan of b-days as i find them quite pointless besides more excuses to eat and/or drink too much and "sometimes" receive gifts, stupid or smart.

my flight from houston was delayed by over 2 hrs by the air traffic control from o'hare. booo. we sat on the plane on the runway for a long time before being able to take off! then, i waited for over 45 min for my luggage! poor stoooops, driving around the airport again and again to wait for me. awwww...

then, i went to see mr pfizer. i was STARVING cuz i didnt eat much in the morning and i was hoping to have a real dinner at regular dinner time. since my flight was delayed, i had to suggest him to eat w/o me so he claimed to be dining with the parents. bah. so... i had to starve when we saw "fun with dick and jane." you know, this movie really was not as bad as i thought it would be!!! quite enjoyable and clever at times. hahaha. never put all your eggs in one basket! afterwards, we went to chili's (again!!???) as it was right next to the theater. baaah, so my "dinner" consisted of 3 or 4 chips of nachos and margaritas. uggghh!

the next morning, i met up with wendy, calanbanga, and stoopers for brunch at dixie kitchen. mmmm, dixie kitchen. we tried the one in evanston (instead of the original in hyde park). pretty good, but still missing the charm from the south side!! besides, we didn't get those sweet pancakes in the beginning!!

then i presented calanmantha and stoopers with some viagra freebies minus samples. happy birthday! what, you want notepads and clocks too? why would a little girl like calantha be obssessed with viagra. who knows... nevertheless, was a great start to the b-day fun! burrrrp!
