girls gone wild...
hi kids. it's been a while... again!! let's see, what been going on over here? oy, i feel like all my days are the same, in and out!
this past wknd was the danskin women's triathlon in boofoo pleasant prairie in cheesehead land. i had barely and hardly trained for this tri at all! and sadly, my anxiety was further complicated by a nasty belly button infection and mess on saturday morning. ouch! this was my third sprint distance tri. this danskin tri was eseentially a motivational gathering for women of literally all shapes, all sizes and ages to encourage each other. this was also an opportunity for various cancer survivors to step up and share their stories and demonstrate their physical wellness.
awww, how cute, right? unfortunately, this whole "we girls support each other and help each other out" sort of being nice to each other was annoying me. during my swimming, some girl was just right behind me for the longest time. one would think, if you are right behind someone you should be able to see clearly where the someone is; you can then swim around or whatever to avoid colliding with the person. this freakin' b'ch kept touching my feet; after a while i wanted to slap her!!! when she got me again, i finally popped my head up, turned around, and yelled, OMG, GET OFF ME!!! this whole stupid, pretentious "aww, i am sorry" was retarded. ugh! some other freakish girl that decided to switch back and forth btwn freestyle and backstroke would swim diag across me RIGHT in front of me. i was like, excuse me, watch out! and yes, that means, get out of my way!!
i improved my swim time by a bit since last yr's danskin (but i still SUCK at swimming). sadly, increased my bike time by 3 min cuz it was a super windy day, and for some reason EVERY direction we turned i felt like i was ALWAYS AGAINST the wind! it was so hard!
i still really want to improve my swim techniques and better my confidence and get rid of the laziness. i need to keep my head in the water and "just keep on swimmin'" instead of thinking that i am lazy and needing a break! i've also gotta get new shoes, toe clips and aerobars to making my peddling more powerful. i swear, i was like the slowest roadie! WTF!? i wanna challenge myself in aug to do the international/olympic distance at the pleasant prairie tri. i am afraid too though-- i really dont know if i can swim twice the distance that i swam just now and biking in high cadence for 25 miles may be impossible since this 12-mile bike was already hard!

too early in the morning!!! adjusting my helmet before leaving barb's house...
INDEED too early!! barb holding her helmet, but poor barb then forgets her helmet, and the lazy-eyed duo had to turn around to retrieve the helmet when we were ALMOST at the race site!! AHHHH, heart attack, please.
left: a SEA of bikes in the transition area. looking for one's bike is like playing where is waldo!
right: we're tired after the race. i only wish i had pushed myself harder...*****
what else? well, our first module of rotation is coming to an end! this means-- MUST STOP PROCRASTINATING!! sooo, why am i blogging? eh, who knows. i finally started my community pharm project yesterday and finished most of the writing today. not so luckily, there's still plenty of work such as reading and revising that need to be done. so boring, i hate it!!
i am also sad that i will be leaving c v s soon. it's been fun working there and my preceptor is just so pleasant to work with. i m gonna miss her! haaaa, maybe she will teach me how to swim and bike better-- she's a triathlete too! awww...
