last post of the year...
happy new year's eve, peeps!
i thought that i would do one last post for the night before heading out to carol's for free food and fireworks. last night carol, her lil' sis, and her boy came by to pick me up to shop for fireworks. hahahaha, andy and i can't believe that she said that we're "from the north." HAHAHAHAHAHAH. yes, we don't do confererate stuff. yes, in the north we can't do fireworks easily in front of the house... well, NOT in MY kind of old wooden bldg in wrigleyville... yikes.
i think i shall recap the important events of 2006 in memory:
january:
1)went snowboarding/skiing for the first time in my life: galena with wenders, sharon, and friends; then christmas mountain with kappa psi jellies.
february:
1) revisited with nyc with sharon, company expensed by her. HA!
march:
1) spring break at my favorite place- san diego- to visit nursie stooooops. heart!
april:
1) annual shamrock shuffle. since we all looked like sweatiness after the race, i shall omit the pictures.
2) also broke-up with mr pfizer. eh.
may:
1) wooooooohoooooooooooo, finished P3 year and no more stupid didactic lectures and exams. sadly, why didn't anyone EVER tell us that constant journal clubs, presentations, clinical rounds, writing notes, and calculating amioglycoside kinetics suck EVEN more!? at the trolley ride:
2) andy and gina's wedding. congrats.
3) i got into a car accident on the way home from the wedding. yikes.
4) two days later i left for celebratory pre-rotation vacation with wenders and calanthamos to GREECE!!!
june:
1) we started rotations!!! ahhhhh!!!!
2) sharon's little sister cindy got married. congrats!
july
1) barb and i played in the danskin women's triathlon, for the second time! woohooo. too bad i still can't swim :(
2) kellean and adam had their first baby: samantha leigh. congrats!
august
1) cubs cubs cubs. actually, we went to many cubs games all summer. calathamine's lover at bat:
2) jay tran the stud had his engagement party. awwww. congrats!
3) sharon's big "25"
4) chicago distance classic half marathon!
5) chicago accenture triathlon with wendy and karen!!
september
1) best labor day wknd EVER! just lots of friends and drinks and... forbidden fun ;)
2) OMG, i have a dog! stooops and i went to OH to retrieve a retriever and my life has NEVER been the same since:

1) life really started to suck being a mom with a yellow child.
2) calabanga rocked the chicago marathon AGAIN! :)
3) lover came to visit (well, for her conference/poster) but i will take WHATEVER i can get, since it is not much...

1) i guess my dog is pretty hot, whatever she is doing...
2) happy thanksgiving 2006! bro came to visit, but unfortunately he had neglected to send me any of his pictures! GRR...
december
1) vegas vegas
2) realized AGAIN that i am a last minute person, finishing up my CV before heading to anaheim for the residency showcase...
3) party at anaheim... i mean, being professional...
4) nisha and benny had their first baby. josiah.
5) petey and barby hosted their christmas martini party again
6) i think i am in love with tahoe and my "neighbor"...
7) but i also love a skinny blond bitch...
8) barbsbie finished her "dissertation" for her MPH. yayyyy.
9) some of least exciting b-day i have ever had! happy "25" to me!
